Caring For Your Bag

Thank you for purchasing a handmade bag from Sacred Stitches! Our bags are made with the utmost care and attention to detail, and we hope it brings you joy and serves you well.

Please note that, as a handmade product, each piece is unique and may exhibit slight variations in appearance and construction.

We recommend that you handle your bag with care, avoiding exposure to excessive heat, humidity, and sharp objects. Avoid overloading your bag as this can cause premature wear and stress on the seams and the straps or handles.

Store your bag properly. When not in use, store your bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This is particularly important for a cork bag, as direct sunlight and heat can dry the cork.

Avoid hanging your bag by the straps, as this can cause the straps to stretch.

If you purchased a cork bag, and live in a dry, cooler climate, you may need to apply a cork conditioner periodically.  Feel free to contact us for recommendations on products.

To clean your bag exterior, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Cotton liners can be spot cleaned with warm water and a mild soap as well.

  • Quilted Alice Shoulder Bag

I love the handquilting on this pattern by Oro Rosa Patterns, one of my favorite designers. It is a challenge with a beautiful end result. It is a very unique pattern with its assymetrical handle. The quilted option for this patterns creates a beautiful fall bag.

  • Teal Flecked Cork Moonwake

The Moonwake, designed by Lavender and Twine, is a stunner with all of it's hardware. The cork gives it a more structured feel. I personally carry this style in a slouchy Olive faux leather with an Ave Maria liner from The Little Rose Shop.

  • Ivory Shantung Hiraeth

The Hiraeth, by Lavender and Twine, is one of my absolute favorite patterns to sew. It comes together beautifully and the envelope sides make it a true beauty in any fabric combination.
